The 300 years of Navantia’s history in the naval industry in Spain guarantee their knowledge and experience to undertake repairs on all types of ships. It has its own engineering department specialized in repairs, modernizations and major transformations, and with excellent technical and human resources to offer a comprehensive service to the client.
Our Facilities
Navantia has three repair centers located on important shipping routes of the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea:
• Fene-Ferrol (northwest of the Atlantic coast)
• Cartagena (Mediterranean coast)
• Cadiz-San Fernando (Strait of Gibraltar)
They are located in areas with a privileged climate, and located in well-connected cities where you can work 365 days a year and where the crew can enjoy their stay while the repairs it´s been done.
In the Navantia production centres, which have a modern and extensive facilities, every year, around 200 civilian and military vessels of different types are repaired (LNG’s, cruisers, yachts, aircraft carriers, patrol boats, etc.).
The Navantia repair centers have twelve dry docks, with capacity for VLCCs type ships; a floating dock; cranes with a lifting capacity of more than 200 tons; 7,000 meters of mooring dock approximately; as well as a syncrolift capable of simultaneously repair twelve ships.
The repair area has 600 highly qualified workers and with the support of auxiliary industries, Navantia is in that field a very competitive company regarding the quality and delivery time of work.
