My name is Iago González and I am the head of Change Management at Navantia. I landed at Navantia in order to help a 300 years old company evolving culturally. My task was to take it into the future. This is one of those challenges that you can't say no to.
I was quite amazed about the size of Navantia's projects. I had the opportunity to sit down with the engineers and see that they were doing extraordinary things. I believe that working in a place where extraordinary things are done is simply a privilege. Are you seeking for challenges? If so, Navantia is the place for you.... Read more read less
My name is Pedro Tocino Márquez, I am 29 and I live in San Fernando. Although I have been closely associated with Navantia for several years through the Auxiliary Industry, I first joined the company in October 2019.
The opportunity to work and develop my career with Navantia appealed to me for many personal reasons. On the one hand, there was the question of more than three hundred years of naval construction history, which has enabled us to lead the way and place ourselves in the forefront when it comes to new technology, finding solutions and developing products, all of which gives Navantia techni... What is more, and maybe this is one of the main reasons, it is impossible not to think of Navantia as a firm with a family and social atmosphere about it, deeply rooted in the lives of all of those who share their time together in the shipyards of a company that has looked after of so many generations. That is precisely why I feel compelled to treat Navantia with such affection, by giving 100% to the firm all the time. My day to day activities are full of surprises, because one day is never the same as the next. There’s always something to improve, develop and research into. Being in direct contact with so many internal and external clients makes my job extremely dynamic and satisfying. My greatest privilege is being able to rely on colleagues who have spent many years devoted to what they do, imbuing the working atmosphere with an irresistible enthusiasm. Seeing people with years of experience and new generations all sitting together around the same table is something that is difficult to find in other firms. I feel proud to be part of this company. read less
My name is Rafa Morgade and I am currently working at the HRPB Site in the Cartagena Dock, in the Human Relations Dept.
I think it is difficult to prioritize one particular factor when it comes to rating the experience of working at Navantia. I believe the fact that it is a technological and international company with the potential for offering its workers a career and one that can be developed in working conditions that are generally above average for industrial firms, makes Navantia a very appealing pla... At the present time, Navantia is one of the very few companies in the industrial sector in this country that designs and manufactures products that it has designed and developed itself. These challenges require the company to be fully immersed in an ongoing process of cultural and technological evolution, so that it can be competitive in a market that is so globalized. Joining as an apprentice and having gradually taken on a variety of functions throughout my career, has enabled me to learn the particularities of the different roles and responsibilities. The most interesting thing I learnt on joining in Bazan/Navantia was a lesson given to us by one of the lecturers when we were apprentices. He told us that we were very lucky, because we were going to be able to participate in the manufacture of the most complete product that a human being can make. He explained to us that a military vessel was a means of transport, a beam, a weapon, a hotel/home, a hospital, a source of energy, a communication system and that, if we were interested, we could find out all about those products rolled into one. At present, now I am involved on a daily basis in manufacturing a submarine, I still remember that small lesson and how true it was. read less
