Navantia se suma al pacto mundial de desarrollo sostenible

In 2019 Navantia joined the largest global corporate sustainability initiative, signing up as a partner in the United Nations Global Compact. Within this programme, it commits to ethical management based on the 10 Principles of the Global Compact regarding human rights, labour rights, the environment and the fight against corruption, alongside contributing to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Navantia has therefore expressed its intention to endorse and implement these principles, incorporating them into the company’s strategy, culture and daily operations, as well as signing up to cooperative projects which contribute to achieving these objectives.

That in mind, Navantia pledges to promote social responsibility on the basis of these principles and produce an annual review of its progress with a Progress or Sustainability Report.

The UN Global Compact is a call for companies and organisations to align their strategies and operations under Ten Universal Principles and boasts a UN mandate to promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the private sector in accordance with the 2030 Agenda.

Its mission is to create an international movement of sustainable companies in a bid to create the world we all desire. It also boasts an unparalleled ability to bring companies together with other actors working to promote sustainable development: governments, civil society and the United Nations.
