Navantia lands in Middle East to attend the IDEX & NAVDEX trade fairs

This week, Navantia attended IDEX & NAVDEX, considered the largest defence trade fairs in the Middle East. From February 17 to 21, the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center hosted the world’s leading defense companies at IDEX, where they had the opportunity to showcase the most advanced technologies in the sector.

Navantia landed in the United Arab Emirates just two months after signing a new contract for three corvettes for the Royal Saudi Navy, an order that reaffirms its position in Middle East.

All those who visited Navantia’s stand were able to enjoy all its naval construction and systems capabilities, starting with the company’s new virtual museum, an interactive space where visitors could discover Navantia’s products. Additionally, the holograms of the S-80, F-110, LHD and Avante 2200 were also present

Throughout the fair, numerous delegations visited Navantia’s stand, with notable visits from the Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates, and delegations from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Malaysia, among others.

 

The President of Navantia, Ricardo Domínguez, and the President’s Advisor, Admiral Francisco Javier Romero, together with Admiral Alghuraiby, Commander of the Royal Saudi Navy (CRSNF).

 

Additionally, on Wednesday 19th, Navantia participated in Spain Day held at the Spanish pavilion. The event was presided over by Lieutenant Miguel Ivorra from DiGEID (General Directorate of Strategy and Innovation of the Defense Industry in Spain).
