We’re pleased to share that Steve Chisholm has been appointed General Manager at our Methil site, joining Navantia UK with immediate effect and becoming part of the Executive Committee.
Steve brings more than 30 years of senior leadership experience across renewables, nuclear, defence and advanced manufacturing. He joins Navantia UK from Global Energy Group, where he held the role of Director of Operations and Innovation, leading major offshore wind fabrication programmes and nationally significant infrastructure projects. His career spans complex, high-integrity manufacturing environments and large-scale investment programmes, with a strong track record in operational delivery, growth and innovation.
Steve’s appointment comes at an important time for Methil and for the wider business. Over the past year, colleagues at the site have helped bring operations back into full delivery, building confidence and capability across multiple workstreams.
This week marked a key milestone with the christening of the Seahorse barge, part of the FSS programme, highlighting the strong progress being made at the yard. In parallel, our investment in Methil has now reached £27.3 million, supporting continued growth in capability, infrastructure and skills.
The yard has also secured new international export work and continues to grow its workforce and apprenticeship pipeline. This year, 22 additional apprentices are joining the existing workforce, supporting the next phase of the site’s development and reflecting the increasing scale and ambition of operations at Methil. Steve will be based at Methil, working closely with colleagues on site and across the business as we build on this progress and take the next steps together.
Please join us in welcoming Steve to Navantia UK.
