Navantia is setting up a subsidiary company in the United Kingdom, Navantia UK. This new company reinforces Navantia’s commitment to its UK industrial partners in ship building and in the offshore wind energy sector.

Navantia UK is a step forward in Navantia’s support of the UK National Shipbuilding Strategy and Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution. Navantia UK’s activities will rely on partnerships with local industries across the United Kingdom.

Navantia UK will be well placed to work with UK industry to explore the promising opportunities that exist in the offshore energy sector in the UK. Since 2014, Navantia has taken part in the construction of the “East Anglia One”, “Hywind Scotland”, “Moray East” and “Kincardine” wind farms in the United Kingdom, manufacturing both fixed and floating foundations and substations for clients such as EDPR, Scottish Power and Cobra.

Building on this experience, Navantia has recently launched Navantia Seanergies, which was created with the aim of promoting its activity related to green energies, focussed on offshore wind energy and hydrogen, both nationally and internationally. The United Kingdom is one of the leading countries in the world in the development and use of offshore wind energy. It is therefore a strategic market for Navantia Seanergies.
