Navantia strengthens its international presence at SMM 2026 in Hamburg

Navantia participates in SMM 2026, the leading international maritime industry trade fair, taking place in Hamburg, Germany, from 1 to 4 September. With more than 2,200 exhibitors and nearly 49,000 professionals from around the world, the event has established itself as the premier meeting point for the global maritime sector.

The company is attending this strategic event to strengthen its presence in international markets, showcase its shipbuilding and ship repair capabilities, and hold meetings with customers, partners and industry representatives. In addition, for the first time, Navantia has its own stand, from which it is presenting its portfolio of products and services.

Particular attention has been drawn to the F110 Flight II frigate scale model displayed at the stand, which has attracted significant interest from visitors eager to learn more about the capabilities of this evolution of Spain’s future frigate. In recent years, SMM has seen a growing focus on the defence sector, becoming an increasingly important showcase for military naval capabilities.

During the exhibition, Navantia’s stand welcomed representatives from leading companies such as Boskalis, Allseas, Columbia Cruise Services, Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement, Disney Cruise Line, Virgin Voyages, Royal Caribbean Group, The World and Windstar Cruises, among others, reaffirming SMM’s role as a key forum for strengthening business relationships and identifying new opportunities.

As is now tradition at ship repair trade fairs, on 2 and 3 September Navantia organised its “Taste of Spain” initiative, offering a tasting of Spanish delicacies that once again proved highly successful, fostering networking and the exchange of experiences among industry professionals.

Participation in SMM reinforces Navantia’s commitment to innovation, technological excellence and the development of new business opportunities in the international maritime market.
