Navantia will be present at the International Defence and Security Exhibition (FEINDEF), which will take place from 17 to 19 May at the IFEMA exhibition centre in Madrid. FEINDEF is considered the most important Defence and Security fair in Spain which counts with the institutional support of the Ministry of Defence.
FEINDEF, which is held every two years and in which Navantia has already participated in the two previous editions, is an opportunity to strengthen the Navantia brand, as well as giving visibility to the company’s new image and project in relation to the acceleration of innovation and entrepreneurship.
This year, Navantia is going to focus on its innovative aspect, being the main promoter of the Innova for Def & Sec Space. This project, dedicated to entrepreneurship and startups, is one of the great novelties of this third edition. In this way, Navantia aims to demonstrate its strong commitment to technological innovation as a key driver of growth and development. In addition, the creative design of Navantia’s stand at FEINDEF will support this image of a leading company in innovation and high technology in the defence industry.
The event, which will be attended by more than 450 exhibitors from 20 countries, gives Navantia the opportunity to showcase its main technological and industrial projects in front of more than 100 foreign delegations. This commitment to innovation is realised in Smart technologies, Smart services and Smart products, which are the three cornerstones of the Smart catalogue. This catalogue will be the central axis around which Navantia’s stand will revolve. Thus, for example, the Navantis training simulator will be on display, which includes an innovative multiplayer avatar functionality, as well as the models of the BAM IS, the Smart 8000 ship, the FSS, the S-80 and the F110 with augmented reality application. Navantia will also give visibility to its international projection through its subsidiaries Navantia UK, Navantia Arabia and Navantia Australia, which will also be present at the stand.
As sponsors, some Navantia representatives will participate in a series of round tables and events that will be held throughout the exhibition. Thus, Ricardo Domínguez, president of the company, will discuss the role of the defence sector in sustainability, as well as participating in a round table on “The challenges of defence companies in the new local and global scenario“. In addition, Ricardo Domínguez will also present Navantia’s innovation strategy and the creation of MONODON, together with Donato Martínez and Patricia Sierra, Director of Technology and Transformation of Navantia.
