Navantia showcases its frigates capabilities and strategic cooperation in DALO Industry Days

Navantia is participating in DALO Industry Days in Herning to present its proven capabilities in the design and construction of frigates, its extensive experience from international collaboration programmes, and its ambition to establish a long-term strategic partnership with Denmark in support of the Royal Danish Navy's future fleet renewal and the timely delivery of new frigates starting in 2030.

As Denmark prepares one of its largest naval investments in decades, Navantia offers a flexible and low-risk solution based on a frigate design already in production, combined with a strong commitment to tailoring its proposal to Danish requirements and working closely with Danish industry throughout the programme and the ships' entire life cycle, creating opportunities for technology transfer, high-skilled jobs and long-term value creation in Denmark.

Navantia also offers leading experience in the integration of different systems and a programme of training with the support of the Spanish Navy. All of this makes Navantia a flexible and strategic partner for Denmark.

The Navantia booth is presenting the F 110 IAMD frigate, evolved from the F-110 programme for the Spanish Navy, the ALFA 4000 frigate and the ALFA 3000 light frigate. All these designs include technological innovations (digital twin, sensorisation, etc.) and have been the impulse for 5.0 industrial capabilities that enable greater reliability and speed in ship design and construction.

The F-110 programme, one of the most important frigates programme in the world, is currently under execution and meeting the planned schedule, even slightly ahead. This demonstrates Navantia's mature industrial capabilities, rapid production capacity and ability to deliver complex frigate programmes on schedule, supporting Denmark's ambition for faster and more reliable delivery of new naval capabilities and frigates.

Navantia sees Denmark as a long-term strategic partner. “Our ambition is not simply to deliver ships, but to build an enduring industrial partnership that strengthens Danish naval capabilities while creating lasting value for Danish industry”, says Alfonso Valea, the commercial director for Europe.
