UNVEX (4-5th June, Barcelona, Spain)

On 4 and 5 June, Navantia was present at UNVEX, the largest drone exhibition in Spain and a benchmark exhibition in Europe for unmanned systems.

Organised by the Metalia Group, the event brought together more than 40 exhibitors and 160 speakers in Barcelona, while presenting the latest technological advances in the sector. Throughout both days, Navantia had the opportunity to present the capabilities of the USV Poniente to all those present.

Navantia was also present at the round tables organised by the exhibition, and the topic discussed was “Defence in the European Union: perspectives and scenarios”, with our colleague Jaime Rodrigo Valdivieso Raffo, Systems Technical Sales Manager, as speaker.

Posidonia (3-7th June, Athens, Greece)

On the other hand, Navantia Shiprepairs disembarked in Greece to attend another edition of the biannual Posidonia exhibition (3-7th June, Athens). Posidonia is regarded as one of the biggest trade fairs in the world of naval engineering, port equipment and maritime technology.

Throughout the event, a commercial delegation of Navantia Shiprepairs – headed by José Manuel Noya Vázquez (Commercial Director) – held several meetings with numerous current and potential customers.

In fact, our stand shared location with another of the most important ship repair companies in the world, Seatrium. Navantia and Seatrium are the main references in LNG repair in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans respectively, being both represented in Greece by the commercial agent Interyards.

More than 2000 exhibitors from around 90 countries participated in this trade fair, showing their products, services and advanced technologies related to shipbuilding, marine equipment, logistic services, etc. In addition, Posidonia made it possible to explore opportunities in the field of new technologies, with companies dedicated to cloud computing or the digital twin, applied to the naval sector.
