Integrated Multidomain Security
Multi-scale security and defence solutions: continuous surveillance and tactical response on land, at sea and in the air.
Land Surveillance and Reconnaissance
Navantia develops modular land exploration and reconnaissance systems that provide 24/7 surveillance in all weather conditions. The Battlefield Exploration System (SERT) combines passive (IR, TV) and active (radar, laser) sensors to detect and identify targets with highly accurate automatic geolocation. Its dismountable architecture allows it to be adapted to light or fixed vehicles, ensuring crew safety and rapid deployment. In addition, the Mobile Observation Post (POMO) extends coastal or border surveillance capabilities, geolocating objects and linking them with command and control systems to deliver integrated defence.
Air Defence and Combat Management
For protection against air threats, Navantia offers SKYDOR, a transportable air defence system that integrates radar, electro-optical sensors and Identification Friend or Foe (IFF), and automatically controls artillery and missile stations. Full automation of track acquisition, assessment and response across multiple targets ensures high precision and operator survivability. All this capability is coordinated by the HERCULES Command and Control System, which provides a unified tactical picture, integrates sensors, weapons and tactical data links, and supports real-time decision-making.
Maritime Surveillance and Infrastructure Protection
In coastal and port environments, Navantia focuses on integrated surveillance solutions such as SVAP, which monitors the surface and subsurface layers using radar, sonar and TV/IR cameras, and the USV VIENTO family, capable of operating autonomously or remotely for missions including traffic control, spill detection and support to offshore platforms. These systems can be easily integrated with mobile or fixed command centres, enabling rapid deployment and redundant coverage to ensure the security of ports, coastlines and critical infrastructure.
