Integrated Training System

Navantia’s Integrated Training System, NAVANTIS, provides an end-to-end process enabling the entire crew to train at our training centre and sail safely.

Navantis is based on a fully modular and configurable design, capable of adapting to any ship size and type by reusing the same hardware; changing the software alone is enough to recreate very different platforms. This flexibility allows a single training centre to serve vessels ranging from patrol boats to aircraft carriers without the need for dedicated facilities for each model.

Navantis’ Glass Console combines extensive virtualisation with real ship components, integrating video walls and immersive virtual reality headsets to immerse operators in an environment so realistic that it faithfully reproduces the ship’s interfaces and functions. This synergy between hardware and software raises the fidelity of training, ensuring that every manoeuvre feels identical to real-life operations.

Its multidisciplinary and interconnected approach enables simultaneous training in platform control systems (local and remote), navigation and bridge, internal/external communications and combat. Multiple Navantis rooms can share real-time scenarios, enabling coordinated team training and complex exercises that simulate joint operations on the high seas.
