The Incident Response System (FRI) is part of Navantia's digital twin and represents a key technological advancement in onboard emergency management. Designed to respond to critical situations such as fires, flooding, or structural damage, it evaluates real-time data and assists the crew through automatic alerts, spread simulations, and dynamic visualization of affected areas. Its rapid response capability significantly enhances the ship’s internal safety.
Thanks to technologies such as CCTV, Integrated Services System (ISS) sensors, and decision-support algorithms, the FRI provides safe evacuation routes, prioritized recommendations, and interactive maps that optimize containment and damage control. This system turns the digital twin into an essential tool for safeguarding the integrity of the ship and its crew, marking a milestone in the evolution of smart naval safety.
The incident response system not only acts when an emergency is detected but also anticipates its evolution. Through advanced simulations and dependency trees, it evaluates the potential impact on connected systems, prioritizes actions, and improves decision-making. This predictive capability turns internal safety into an active and continuous process, raising the ship's protection level.
The incident response system is designed to provide the crew with useful, up-to-date, and visually clear information during the most critical moments. Through mobile devices, personnel receive immediate alerts, optimized evacuation routes, and specific instructions based on the type and state of the emergency.
This direct interaction improves crew coordination and significantly reduces response time. The result is more effective action in the face of fires, flooding, or other risk situations, reinforcing the ship’s internal safety and crew protection.
Onboard sensors and cameras identify incidents such as fires or flooding in real-time, triggering automatic alerts and accelerating the initial response.
Active simulation
The system graphically represents the spread of the emergency, showing affected areas and action routes for fast and safe decision-making.
Integrated coordination
Fully connected to systems like SICP and DSS, the FRI centralizes emergency management, optimizes resources, and guides the crew every step of the way.
