Propulsion

Navantia is a benchmark in naval and land propulsion systems, with over seven decades of accumulated experience from its engine plant in Cartagena. We develop, manufacture, and support four-stroke medium and high-speed diesel engines, complete propulsion systems, generator sets, and repowering solutions. Our products are integrated into top-tier platforms such as the F-100 frigates, S-80 submarines, AWD destroyers, and land vehicles such as the Leopard tank and the Pizarro.

In addition to manufacturing, Navantia offers a comprehensive after-sales service that includes specialized maintenance, global technical assistance, original spare parts, and technical training. The infrastructure of our Engine Factory—with over 5,000 m² of space, test benches up to 10,000 kW, induction furnaces, and state-of-the-art CNC machinery—enables us to execute both serial production and custom projects, with stringent validations and under licenses from leading manufacturers such as MAN, MTU, or Caterpillar.
