Navantia’s Digital Platform, located at the Ferrol COEX Digital Twin, supports the development and maintenance of Digital Twins. It serves as a testbed where new services are integrated, tested, and validated before being deployed on digital land-based platforms and later onboard. It also supports services already operating on ships, ensuring their functionality and regular updates, and connects with engineering tools to keep the twins aligned with customer requirements and current technology. It manages the entire lifecycle of the Digital Twin: developing and maintaining new or existing services, managing the platform itself, resolving issues from other platforms, and enhancing the twin’s capabilities through additional applications and data analysis, improving efficiency and reducing costs. It also refines behavior and diagnostic models, so the Digital Twin evolves with experience and emerging needs, keeping Navantia at the forefront of the naval sector.
