Products such as the S-80, the world's most innovative conventional submarine with a unique anaerobic propulsion AIP system, or the F-110 frigate, with technologies such as the digital twin or the SSI (integrated services system), will be on display next week at the fourth edition of FEINDEF, Spain's most important defense exhibition.
Navantia's extensive capabilities in the design and construction of surface naval ships and submarines include these cutting-edge technologies, developed to provide the Spanish Navy and other international clients with products that best meet their current defense and security commitments.
On the other hand, Navantia Sistemas, the technological brain of the Company, will play a central role in this edition as a developer and integrator of communication systems such as Hermesys, combat systems (Scomba Next Generation), and autonomous vehicle integration system (NAIAD). The USV "Poniente," an unmanned surface vehicle whose systems have been designed by Navantia, will be on display at the exhibitionr, along with other Spanish autonomous vehicles that NAIAD can integrate. The NAVANTIS simulator, aimed at training in the operation and maintenance of ship systems, will also occupy an important space.
Navantia's president, Ricardo Domínguez, will give the conference "Navantia, spearheading innovation," where he will outline the company's roadmap to position the shipyards at the technological forefront and drive innovation and skilled employment in a broad and solid value chain.
Meanwhile, monodon, the innovation line, launched two years ago at the previous edition of FEINDEF, will sponsor the Espacio Innova and will showcase the potential applications of cutting-edge technologies for the naval and defense sector, along with conferences on technological topics closely linked to startups.
Additionally, monodon will also present its challenge, aimed at the international scientific community, which will consist of designing an autonomous, bio-inspired vehicle capable of underwater exploration at depths of more than 200 meters. The goal of this challenge is to explore disciplines that are currently still in the research and development phase. All information about the challenge can be found on the following website: Challenge - Twilight Conference.
The EPC (European Patrol Corvette) Consortium, which is formed by Navantia, Naval Group and Fincantieri, coordinated by Naviris, will be also present at FEINDEF
