Major presence of Navantia at EDEX, the largest defense event in Africa and the Middle East

From December 1 to 4, Navantia took part in the International Defense and Security Exhibition (EDEX), held in Cairo (Egypt), one of the most important events for the military industry in Africa and the Middle East. This fourth edition brings together more than 450 companies and official delegations from over 100 countries, consolidating its role as a strategic platform to showcase the latest technologies in land, naval, and air defense.

Navantia’s participation in EDEX 2025 reaffirms its position as an international benchmark in military shipbuilding and advanced systems, in a market driven by capability modernization and growing demand for reliable technological solutions.

At our stand, the company showcased flagship products such as the S-80 Plus submarine, equipped with the AIP system based on Bio-Ethanol Stealth Technology, as well as solutions in command and control systems, navigation, sonar and radar, and simulation equipment for training.

During the exhibition, high-level visits and meetings were held, including with the Chief of the Egyptian Navy, the Head of the Egyptian Armament Authority, and the Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces. Contacts were also established with delegations from several African and Middle Eastern countries, strengthening Navantia’s position as a strategic defense partner and opening new opportunities for collaboration.

This event not only reinforces Navantia’s image as a strategic defense partner but also opens doors for technological alliances and industrial cooperation with countries in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
