The Smart Services COEX focuses on research, development and validation of solutions that ensure and optimise availability, readiness and the deployment of quality services to maximise product capabilities throughout their lifecycle. It specialises in Integrated Logistics Support and sustainment management to support decision‑making through virtual assistants and data‑driven prescriptive analytics.

Smart Services
This COEX is located at the Cartagena shipyard and stands out for applying novel development methodologies and techniques that coordinate all logistics activities related to the supply chain, improving operational efficiency from the first link and reducing costs borne by the client.
Reference Centre
It is the reference centre for SMART services and its facilities include a state‑of‑the‑art laboratory, a test bench for sustainable propulsion, areas for automation using UAVs and advanced sensing, and infrastructure for modelling, simulation, 3D visualisation and the analysis of large volumes of data.
Lifecycle optimisation
Smart Services integrates digital twin and cybersecurity services, training tools and high‑fidelity simulators to diagnose and maintain asset operability throughout its entire lifecycle.
Team and Facilities
The centre has state‑of‑the‑art technologies and tools, such as advanced software for design, simulation and data analytics. It also has several innovation labs equipped with virtual and augmented reality technologies and systems for managing and analysing large volumes of data.

COEX Smart Services Projects

Sustainment Digital Twin
Sustainment Digital Twin integrates digital services for lifecycle support, based on detailed ship models and data analytics to monitor real‑time condition, predict maintenance needs and optimise operational efficiency. The project develops a prototype consisting of a small‑scale installation of typical ship equipment on which advanced sustainment digital capabilities have been developed, enabling an integrated demonstration of digital sustainment for fault detection, diagnosis and prediction, as well as reliability estimation for mission fulfilment and efficient execution of tasks.
