Navantia lands in Norway to attend another edition of the Nor-Shipping exhibition (6-9 June, Oslo). This event, which has been held since 1965 and in which Navantia has participated on numerous occasions, is one of the most important in the international shipbuilding sector and a golden opportunity to show our customers and main competitors our repair, conversion and maintenance capabilities for yachts, cruise ships and LNGs.

Coinciding with the Nor-Shipping exhibition, a Navantia delegation also took part in the Bilateral Meetings between the Spanish and Norwegian Ministries of Defence, held in Oslo from 5 to 9 June. Navantia took advantage of the occasion to present the current collaboration with Norway, linked to the recent contracts signed in support of the modernisation of the Fridtjof Nansen class frigates (F-310), as well as the new lines of collaboration with the Norwegian Ministry of Defence.

It should be noted that Norway is one of the most important countries for our commercial interests in the world of shipbuilding and ship repair: between 2003 and 2011, Navantia designed and delivered the Nansen frigates to the Norwegian Navy, and today, we continue to provide maintenance and support for the life cycle of these frigates. In order to strengthen our position in Norway, Navantia has had a permanent presence in Bergen since the beginning of the year.
