Navantia has developed a complete family of ships of different sizes and adapted to different missions, sharing standards and design philosophy, so that all products can benefit from what they have learned with previous patrol vessels. Additionally, in this way the ability to adapt the desired design to the specific requirements of each client is facilitated.
Considering four very different types of missions (research, support, patrol and combat) as well as a range of displacements from 300 t. At 3,000 t., the AVANTE family covers the entire spectrum of patrol vessels, either as missile launches, hydrographic vessels, coast guard vessels, high-altitude patrol boats or patrol vessels prepared for combat.
The varied offer of platforms is complemented with multiple design solutions that can be incorporated depending on the specific missions and requirements of the client. Thus, they can be configured with flight platforms for aerial media operations, hangar, hybrid propulsion plants, auxiliary vessels (RHIBS), capacity to operate multi-mission modules in containers, etc. In addition, the ship is prepared to incorporate future equipment that increases its capabilities without the need for major reforms (philosophy “prepared for but without”).
Finally, regarding the combat system, weapons and sensors, Navantia has experience both incorporating systems developed internally (thus leaving the design of platform and systems under the responsibility of a single provider) and integrating into the systems platforms of other suppliers .
